At Astea we design, implement, and support multi-platform, large scale applications. We’re seeking a talented Automation QA Engineer to join our team of passionate technology oriented professionals. As a member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for developing, and maintaining automated test suites using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools, with a focus on TypeScript.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive automated test suites using testing frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design test plans that cover functional and non-functional aspects
- Develop and execute manual and automated test cases to verify new features and ensure best coverage
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues
- Participate in feedback loops, providing constructive input across the organization
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation or software testing
- Еxperience in either web or mobile application testing
- Strong understanding of QA practices and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, analytical, and a strong team player
- Very good command of English
Preferred skills:
- Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript or similar languages
- Knowledge of testing frameworks such as WebdriverIO, Mocha, Playwright, or Cypress
- Deep understanding of agile development methodologies
- ISTQB certification
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
