Astea celebrates 20 years of problem-solving in the IT field by sharing key stories from its journey. The company’s 10+ year partnership with Barnes & Noble was focused on establishing the client’s digital presence by developing a system for digital content creation and distribution. Astea and Barnes & Noble collaboratively built a comprehensive, end-to-end digital publishing and consumption ecosystem to compete in the digital content market. Despite the industry-wide move towards newer standards, Astea maintained and supported Barnes & Noble’s infrastructure, keeping the legacy system fully operational for nearly a decade.

Astea’s internship program: Where young talents and ideas thrive
Astea just wrapped up its 14th internship program at the end of June 2025. Over more than 4 months, 11 young talents got hands-on experience with what it’s really like to develop software with the help of their experienced mentors.
