Astea developed developed Cap That on behalf of Active ImageNation of Los Angeles.
Cap That was conceived as a website application for the unlocking and creation of still images from video. Consumers can stop time and capture their most cherished moments in film, television, music, sports, home videos, and exclusive video shoots in order to create one-of-a-kind posters, canvas prints, photo prints, and virtual creations that can be easily shared across social networks.
The Cap That application evolved into a set of custom tailored web applications, each one targeting a specific domain: a musician, a band, a movie, or a specific event. This gave users the unique opportunity to select their favorite video and generate their own piece of memorabilia from that video. Cap That-branded web applications were created for singers Demi Lovato, August Alsina and MGK among many others, even for for the hit game Assassin’s Creed.
The company itself has since evolved into a business that brings to life in the form of merchandise the creative ideas of some of today’s most prominent performing artists, athletes, celebrities, influencers, and brands in the form of merchandise. Cap That seamlessly introduces to the world artists’ concepts via e-commerce, pop-ups, tours, and one-of-a-kind events.
